$10 Publix gift card
I was at the store last night and found a rebate form on a tearpad that said if you buy $10 in select ConAgra foods and $50 total in groceries at Publix, you can get a $10 Publix gift card by mail. I did a similar deal last summer at Publix and it was definitely worth it. Make sure to keep your eye out for this rebate form. I found in on a large display at the very front of the store.

What I learnned this week.
What I learned this week is hosted by JoLynn over at Musings of a Housewife - Check out all of the great things people have learned week and all of JoLynn's awesome posts!
1. I learned that for some reason having an extra day of rest makes it much harder to get back into a a routine than if I never had a break at all!
2. I learned that I'm really no more mature now than when I was in elementary school. The house was a wreck and someone said they were stopping over to pick something up. It was just instinct to take everything off the kitchen counter (this is the catch-all place at my house), dump it in a bag and hide it in my room! Really just an adult version of hiding my toys under my bed when told to clean my room when I was young)
What did you learn this week?

Walgreens $5 off $25
So, this coupon means that you have to spend $20 out of pocket, at least, b/c it is $5 off $25 after all coupons are used. I wasn't planning on using this coupon b/c the out of pocket is so high and there is no way to redeem the money through the Easy Saver Program. however, I might have been persuaded to try it after reading the scenario by Common Sense with Money. Check it out here and see for yourself!

Purse Hook-er Giveaway!
From the same company who introduced the world to disposable underwear, comes the Purse Hook-er!
I had the opportunity to review the Purse Hook-er. The Purse Hook-er is a hook that attaches your purse to any surface so you can keep it where it belongs, safe clean and off the floor! When I first heard about the Purse Hook-er I thought that the idea was very intriguing. I had never seen anyone use one, but it seemed like a neat invention. After receiving in the mail and opening it I have to tell you I was really excited with how cute it was. It was very compact and came in a little stylish fabric pouch. I immediately hooked it onto my kitchen countertop and Voila! Instant purse hook. I was pretty impressed. So I neatly folded it back up into its cute pouch and put into my purse to give it a try. I have to say that as innovative as I thought it was, I was skeptical about how much I would really use it.
I was so wrong. I’ve only had this a week and a half and I have used it so many times. I used it in a restaurant when I didn’t want my purse on under my chair where I couldn’t see it. I used it at my mom’s house instead of throwing my purse onto the floor and watching its contents spill everywhere. And my favorite was when I was in a very dirty public bathroom. My daughter couldn’t wait until we got home so I had to go into…the dreaded dirty mall bathrooms. And there was no hook on the bathroom stall. I was starting to panic because the thought of putting my purse down on the floor was so revolting when I remembered the purse hook-er. I didn’t think it would work because it looked like it needed to be hung from a flat surface and there was no flat surface around. I decided to try it on the stall door and it worked!!! I was so amazed. I am sold now. Since then I’ve shown it to all of my friends who have also fallen in love with it.
Purse Hook-er was created by MyTagalongs. I first was introduced to this company through finding their products featured in a magazine. They have a wide variety of products that are different from what I have seen elsewhere. Here’s some info about MYTAGALONGS
Purse Hook-er was created by MyTagalongs. I first was introduced to this company through finding their products featured in a magazine. They have a wide variety of products that are different from what I have seen elsewhere. Here’s some info about MYTAGALONGS
MYTAGALONGS has created a wealth of well-designed, practical accessories that can be conveniently stashed at the office, in the car or in a purse.
MYTAGALONGS co-founders Jeannie Vondjidis and Nicole Authier interviewed over 200 women across Canada, delving into their handbags in order to understand their daily needs. The problem today is that when it comes to organizing their lives, women don´t have time to shuttle from store to store to find the items that they require,» explains Vondjidis, who graduated from the London School of Economics and has 20 years experience in marketing communications working on world class brands such as Disney and L´Oreal. «With MYTAGALONGS, we wanted to create a destination brand that groups together fun, fashionable items that answer most of women´s real life needs.
Designed for work, travel and every day life, MYTAGALONGS accessories help women to be prepared for anything that life might throw at them. Presented as individual items, mini-kits and kits, these accessories can tackle most situations from an unraveled hem and a crushed tampon, to packing strategically.
Win it! One lucky reader will win a Purse Hook-er from MyTagalongs.
To enter: visit MyTagalongs then come back and tell me what your favorite product is from their site (other than the Purse Hook-er-and believe me, there are plenty of other cool things!)

Make your own cards!
A week ago, I attended the Mothers Day banquet at my church and we had someone come in and teach us how to make homemade cards. We all had so much fun making them (even my 4 year old daughter was able to make one) and what I loved was the fact that they could be as simple or as elaborate as I wanted. I had tried scrapbooking and bought all of the tools so I could do it, but time has just gotten away and I've given up on ever doing all of my pictures in scrapbooks. So, I was super excited when I realized that I could use a lot of those pens and markers and circle cutting tools for something much more practical for me and the amount of time I have. And with the cost of cards these days(I know, we are frugal girls, we'd never spend full price on a card) it could actually save me money!!
Lisa Reber is the Stampin' Up demonstrator who came and led our card making, and she was just awesome! She had some of the neatest samples of things that she had done, and she was so patient in explaining everything! I just had to share her site with you so that you can see some of the things she has done. She has the coolest recipe stand I've ever seen that you can put on your counter with your favorite recipes, and what is so awesome is that you design each of the recipe pages. I just love it!!!
Look around her site and be inspired as I was!!! I will be making some cards in the next few weeks and will share them with you :)

Tuga Sunwear Giveaway!-Closed!
I have always lathered my kids up with sunscreen whenever we go outside in the summer (and when I forget, my daughter is sure to remind me). It's just a given, living here in Florida, that we are going to be exposed to a lot of sun so I do my best as a mom to keep them from getting burned. However, sunscreen alone just isn'tenough.
The bad news: The average person receives 80% of his/her lifetime sun exposure before the age of 18. This means that what we do now as parents has a huge impact on their health when they get older.
The good news: There is clear consensus in the medical community that skin cancer can be virtually 100% prevented by developing 5 sun safety habits early in life:
1. Use SPF 15+ sunscreen
2. Wear sun protection clothing
3. Protect the eyes with UV400 sunglasses
4. Cover the head ears neck and face with a sun protection hat
5. Reduce time spent in the sun from 10am to 4pm.
So, I was really interested to learn more when I heard that there was swimwear material out there which meet the 50+ UPF standards of blocking 97.5% of UV rays. The Tuga Sunwear line of sun protection clothing takes care of most of those sun safety measures when kids are at the beach and in the water. Which in Florida is a good percentage of the time.
Tuga Sunwear offers the cutest, stylish clothes for everyone, mom, dad, brother, sister...pet. Pet? Yep, pet. Why not? Doesn't every dog need this outfit? He definitely proves it - You definitely don't have to sacrifice style for safety!
I was given the boy's Jammer 2-piece set to review. My son just loved it. He thought he was so cool looking. (nope, this isn't him in the pic) I put the outfit on him with a pair of sunglasses and he was running around the house all excited. He couldn't wait to go outside and play in it. The shirt was not very tight, which seemed to make it more comfortable. The shorts were tight fitting, but didn't have any itchy seams sticking out. All of the seams laid flat so they don't rub. What I liked most about the outfit was how quickly it dried after it got wet.
What impressed me about Tuga, is that the company is not just concerned with selling their products, but they are committed to educating people about sun safety, as they state it:
Our goal is to educate parents and kids on safe sun habits and to provide a program of sun protection products that make it fun and easy to do so. Tuga Sunwear sun protection clothing is designed to provide greater body coverage, yet still be functional. Our sun protection clothing's patterns are designed to be form fitting and to incorporate stylish cuts. And through the use of colorful designs we make sure kids are looking the best at the beach or the pool. For our sun protection clothing we use fabrics that are made specifically, both through the knitting and dying process, to meet the 50+ UPF standards of blocking 97.5% of UV rays.
Check out their site to see all of the cool, stylish, yet affordable, sun protection clothing. Your kids will look great and you will feel great knowing that you are doing something important that will save them a lot of problems in the future.

If you want one right now, head on over to Tuga Sunwear and order yours today. Use the code LIVINLUVIN to receive 20% off all products, except sale items.

Wonderful Mother's Day weekend
I had such an awesome Mother's Day weekend, I'm still overwhelmed by how great it went. My mother, daughter and I attended a Mother's Day Brunch on Saturday and then on Sunday my husband and father cooked all of the meals AND cleaned up afterwards!!!
My presents were quite memorable too. My 4 year old daughter made me a card & wrote (with help) that I get 3 wishes. She then proceeded to tell me my wishes were to have ice cream, go swimming and visit her Nana. Gotta love it! And my son made me a flower box at Lowe's, which came included with a plant. The plant had been sitting outside for two days in our 92 degree heat, never watered. I really wish I had a picture of this one...it was so dead. But I loved both presents and won't forget them because they were definitely from the heart.
I have to give a shout-out to Nikki Knits clothing. When I attended the Mother Daughter banquet, me, my mom and daughter were all wearing our matching outfits. It was really special and we had so many comments on our cute outfits!
At the brunch we also made some crafts, which I can't wait to share with you. I am going to try to take some pictures and show them to you tomorrow.

Free Johnson & Johnson First Aid products @ Publix
I went to Publix today to pick up a few groceries and stumbled across this great deal.
Johnson & Johnson First Aid Products-prices vary; they start at $1.79
Green Advantage Flyer has $2 off 2 Publix coupon
Coupon dispenser in front of the first aid section had $3 off 2 manufacturer coupon
As always, you can use one Publix & one manufacturer coupon per item. So, I purchased pack of 10 Gauze pads for $1.79 and Hurt free wrap for $2.99. When I went to use the coupons, the cashier gave me some trouble b/c it was under $5 and the coupon was for $5. I asked her to adjust the coupon value. She called the manager over to determine what to do and the manager said as long as they weren't giving me cash back it was okay to have overage! So, I got the products free and had $.30 overage!!!

Tie Buddies Giveaway-Closed!
When I first heard about Tie Buddies I thought the idea was ingenious and couldn't wait to try them out. Then I started thinking about it and realized that my daughter didn't have a single pair of tie-shoes. Unfortunately, with the convenience of velcro and slip on, the art of tying shoes has become lost on my daughter. But learning to tie is an important part in the developmental process and certainly a skill we use throughout life. So my daughter got her first pair of lace-up shoes. And after one time trying the Tie Buddies (okay, actually two times, but truly the first time was me trying to figure out how to do it!) she was able to tie her shoes. She was so excited with herself and the ability to do it all by herself, it was a great confidence booster. And now I have a whole new selection of shoes to choose from because she can lace her own shoes.
Tie Buddies was created by a mother of two, Wendy Welling, who spent months fiddling with prototypes and ideas until finally perfecting Tie Buddies™. The key was to create cool characters and interactive stories that help the child learn and retain the process and as well as eliminating the frustrating ‘bunny ears or loops’ that just confuse children as they learn. Currently, they have one girl and one boy style available, but are looking at expanding with a new color or character, so...
I'm excited to tell you that one lucky reader will win a set of Tie Buddies (girl or boy). To enter, visit Tie Buddies , look at their current product and come back and tell me what color you would like to see them add to their product line.

DownEast Basics clothing giveaway!-Closed
I'm excited to tell you about this new company I have found that has some of the most comfortable, stylish clothes and yet is totally affordable. Their clothing looks ike they come right out of a boutique but their prices are just slightly higher than Target.
DownEast Basics offers all different types of clothing, they even carry a maternity line. Their clothes all have very simple lines and look very classy. Something for any occasion and any budget!
I had the opportunity to review this sunset swimsuit and carmel cover-up. The clothing was made out of extremely nice, soft fabric. There was a lot of attention to detail, even down to a little red bow that they put on the inside label just to make it extra special. For the price, I was pleasantly suprised with the level of quality.
DownEast Basic is offering one lucky winner a size Small Sunset Swimsuit, Carmel Cover-up in white, Green Hula Shirt & denim Jetset skirt. Two full outfits in size small!!
To enter: Click here and take a look around. Come back here and leave a comment telling me what your favorite outfit is.
