Publix deals

I had to make a quick dash to the store this evening to get something for dinner, with no time to really make a list or match coupons, but I didn't do too bad for spontaneous shopping. I spent $13.98 and saved $14.57!

Here's a list of my deals:

Pop Tarts - Buy One, Get One Free, $2.39
- $.55/1 peelie coupon found on each poptart
= $1.29 for two ($.65 each!)
I purchased 4 of these - I found out when I got home that if you send in 5 UPC's from specialty marked boxes you can send it in to get a free movie ticket to Star Trek so I will be going back to buy 2 more boxes this week . Which means I will get 6 boxes of Pop Tarts for $3.87 plus a Movie Ticket!!!!

Johnson & Johnson pack of 10 non-stick Gauze, $1.99 each (Bought 2)
-$1.00/1 peelie found on each box (used two)
-$2.00/2 Johnson & Johnson product coupon found in Green Advantage flyer
Total is FREE

Kraft Cheese Singles, Buy One Get One Free, $2.59
-$1.00/2 Coupon from Target
Total = 2 for $1.59 ($.80 each)

  1. Jen - there are usually so many deals to be had to get Poptarts free, I never would spend more than a dime on a box. Next week at Target there's a deal where if you buy 5 of the 12ct boxes for $2.33ea, you get a free $5 GC. There were $1 peelies on PopTarts (not sure if they're still out there) plus there is a 50c printable Target coupon... so with all three, I'll be getting paid to buy PopTarts at Target next week. :) Even if you don't have the peelies, there is a $1/2 MQ you can use to get them for almost free:
    Kelloggs Pop-Tarts, 8 ct.+ $1 on 2 (5/31/09) V 4/5/09

  2. Oh - one other thing, does Publix accept Target coupons? If not, there was the $1/2 Kraft singles printable coupon that is available at Kraft foods ( http://www.kraftfoods.com/kf/kraftcoupons.aspx ) and the other coupon printing sites...

  3. Hey Lynn,
    Our Publix does accept Target Coupons, although you do get the occasional eye rolling and calling of the managers... :)

    Thanks for the heads up on the Pop-Tart deal at Publix, I'll have to try it out next week!
